The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification project for New Tech Quality Systems Manager Brandon Beal and Quality Assurance Engineer Carlton Radford is a redesign of a production line used to assemble and package Coppertone Twinpacks. The packaging line is laid out more efficiently and follows Lean Manufacturing processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency. While still evaluating the realized improvement Brandon and Carlton remain confident that the project will result in savings for New-Tech and certification from MSQPC who has trained and is certifying them.
The employees of New-Tech were quite surprised when a routine morning meeting concluded with a high honor awarded to our President, J.C. Heotis, and the employees at New-Tech!
Just as the meeting came to a close, Ed Horrell of The Kindness Revolutionpresented J.C. Heotis with the “Spirit of Kindness” award, the first of its kind to be presented in the Memphis area. This award recognizes values of dignity, respect, courtesy and kindness within the company. New-Tech was also presented with the” Kind Company of the Month” award.
The Kindness Revolution is a non-profit organization, present in 100 U.S. cities, with the mission of raising the awareness of values, such as kindness, in leadership, customer service, schools, and communities.
“We promote organizations who really get it when it comes to leadership and service,” Mr. Horrell stated.
We are proud of our President and employees for leading the way with such high values, setting a standard for which we will continue to strive!

Additionally, New-Tech’s membership in the Packaging Distributors of America (PDA) provides a broad network of facilities across the U.S., allowing us to have a national, as well as local, presence.
