New-Tech is proud to announce that Carter Baldwin, our Quality Assurance Engineer, has completed the Lean Sigma Training, equipping him with world-class time and cost saving techniques. This three-week series of training events was held in Minneapolis, featuring instructors from around the world, leaders in the Lean Sigma field.

Lean Sigma combines two business methods: Lean, which aims to make processes more efficient and Six Sigma, which focuses on reducing defects in a process. These are not only relevant to manufacturing, but to a number of fields of work, including shipping, transactional processes, and more.

Additionally, Carter seeks his Green Belt Certification, which will be awarded upon successful completion of two projects to which he will apply his training. One of these projects aims to reduce set-up time by 50% on one of the manufacturing plant’s machines, a Flexographic Folder/Printer/Gluer. A shorter set-up time equals more efficiency, punctual completion of work,  and worker availability to take on more customers, resulting in added cost-savings for our customers!

We are proud of Carter’s hard work and look forward to its usefulness both within New-Tech and for our customers!
